MOES ZSS-QY-GL-U ZigBee Gas Sensor
The MOES ZSS-QY-GL-U is a smart natural gas leak detector that provides effective protection thanks to precise detection in the range of 0–100% LEL and an accuracy of ±3% LEL. The device communicates via ZigBee (Tuya gateway required), enabling integration with smart home systems and automation. Powered via a USB-C cable, it eliminates the need for battery replacement, and its compact design and high sensitivity with temperature compensation ensure stable operation in the range of -10°C to 55°C.
Precise methane detection and rapid response
The sensor is specifically designed to detect methane in gas systems, allowing for effective monitoring of potential leaks in pipes or around gas appliances. High sensitivity and a temperature compensation module ensure accurate measurements under varying conditions. If the alarm threshold (8% LEL) is exceeded, the device immediately triggers a warning signal, minimizing the risk of dangerous situations.
Audible and visual alarms and remote notifications
Upon detecting a hazard, the sensor activates a loud audible alarm with an intensity of ≥70 dB and a flashing red light, allowing the problem to be quickly noticed. Additionally, the user receives a notification in the app via the ZigBee gateway, enabling an immediate response even when away from home. LED indicators also show the device’s status—green indicates normal operation, red indicates an alarm, and yellow signals a potential malfunction.
Integration with the smart home system
Thanks to ZigBee communication, the sensor can work with other devices in the ecosystem, such as motion, flood, smoke, and door and window sensors. This allows you to create automation scenarios that enhance security, such as triggering additional alarms or notifications. Importantly, local ZigBee communication operates independently of the Wi-Fi network, ensuring system continuity.
Safe design and convenient operation
The housing, made of fire-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials, enhances safety during use. A test button on the front of the device allows for quick verification of the sensor’s operation. Low power consumption ensures the device is suitable for long-term, stable operation in continuous monitoring mode.
Flexible installation and wide range of applications
The sensor is best installed 0.3–1 m below the ceiling, which is optimal for methane, which is lighter than air. The maximum detection range is up to 3 meters in diameter, so installation near potential leak sources, such as gas stoves or pipes, is recommended. The device is suitable for homes, apartments, restaurants, warehouses, as well as industrial and institutional facilities where rapid hazard detection is critical.
