Uni-T UT691-01 Visual Fault Locator
The Uni-T UT691-01 is a portable visual fault locator designed to detect faults in optical fibers, identify fibers along their entire length, and perform maintenance work on optical installations. The device uses visible red light with a wavelength of 650 ± 10 nm and offers two laser operating modes, facilitating quick diagnostics in the field. Effective fault location in shorter sections
The UT691-01 model offers a laser output power of at least 1 mW and allows operation on fiber optic sections ranging from 2 to 3 km in length. The device is equipped with a universal 2.5 mm FC connector, which enhances ease of use for standard service applications. Continuous and pulse modes are available, making it easy to adapt the operating mode to specific tasks and measurement conditions.

The locator uses a 3.7 V 1050 mAh lithium-polymer battery, which provides over 12 hours of operation.
